Opening Schedule
(A-10801)
Aluminium Door/Window:
Ensure wall and cove are aligned parallel to the aluminium door.
Avoid recessed cove in front of the door/window
In general notes of the sheet; specify EBDM sealing.
For bedrooms, the glass should be triple-glazed or double-glazed with a large air gap.
A sealed operating system is a priority.
Minimize the use of pocket aluminum doors in the design. The goal is to maximize the clear view as much as possible
The window should be positioned in the center of the wall
If the aluminium window extends to the floor, the skirting should continue beneath the aluminium to prevent the skirting from making contact with or terminating against the side of the aluminium profile
Outdoor steel door:
Concealed sub-frame is required. Pivot doors are option (1).
Entrance doors:
A full design of the entrance doors – including the handle - must be implemented in the Working Drawings package.
Toilet doors:
Toilet doors to have concealed door closer & push to open from outside - deadbolt lock and handle or grip in leaf to close from inside
Openings and Skirting:
Make Groove details at the bottom of the wood door frame to match the skirting.
Aluminum Frame should be raised up to match the skirting unless the skirting is too high. If the aluminium window extends to the floor, the skirting should continue beneath the aluminium to prevent the skirting from making contact with or terminating against the side of the aluminium profile
Add lock for shower glazing door when the staff bathroom is common.
Door Schedule should mention paint color and wood type for all doors.
Pocket doors:
Cancel door bumper - unless there are two different material on wall and you need as a connection between those finishes - and use soft close mechanism.
Window Opening:
The window/opening position should be verified in the tender (whether it is flush with the wall or recessed by 10cm).
Due to site constraints, if there is a window in the shower area, it should not extend from floor to ceiling, but rather be placed on a sill.
Generally; the main bathroom window shouldn't be in the shower zone
Window Sill slope shouldn’t be less than 2%
Conclusion for Aluminium Meeting with Panoramah!:
Acoustic readings should be conducted to determine the most suitable profile.
Profile P!38 or higher is recommended for external windows.
For buildings along highways, triple glazing is preferred.
The air gap between glass panels should be no less than 16mm.
For sliding windows, it is recommended to have a fixed panel on the inside and a sliding panel on the outside for better acoustic performance. (not obligation in design; but optional)
It is ideal for the sliding window panels to have unequal widths, with the fixed panel being wider than the sliding panel. (not obligation in design; but optional)
Louvers:
Laser cut sheets (like CNC) could be considered as another option of the louvers
Lock Cylinder width:
Door schedule sheet stating that the cylinder lock width should match the door width ;in all ongoing tenders and upcoming projects.
